WHAT TO EXPECT AT OUR GAYLORD MI OFFICE

Chiropractic Gaylord MI Appointment

Since natural health care generally involves a series of visits, with each one building on the ones before, it’s important that our relationship can go the distance. We’ve found that one of the best ways to have successful patient relationships is to explain everything in advance, that's why when you call to make an appointment at our chiropractic clinic in Gaylord MI, our procedures will be explained to you right over the phone.

Your First Visit in Gaylord MI

You will be warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. Help is on its way!
When you arrive in the office you are greeted by name and asked to sign in and the staff will then collect your paperwork and check it for completion. All paperwork is available on this website or can be sent to you ahead of time, if possible, so you won't have to spend time in our waiting room filling out forms.

If you are a new Chiropractic or Nutrition patient, your provider or the office manager/patient advocate will meet with you and explain in detail what you will experience that day.

Once you have completed the testing you were scheduled for, the office manager or scheduling coordinator surveys you in private to see how your visit went. If there were any issues, the provider is brought in to address the issue before you leave. A follow-up visit is then scheduled for the report of findings.

Your Second Visit

When you return for the report of findings you will be warmly greeted by name and asked to sign in.

Report of Findings - Nutrition

On your report visit we explain what we found and how we may be able to help you.

You are given your report to read ahead of time. When you are done with that the front desk staff takes you to a pre-assigned room that already has the necessary form set up on the computer. The provider then comes in and will explain everything to you in detail during your report of findings.

Report of Findings - Chiropractic

On your report visit we explain what we know about the cause of your problem and what we recommend to address the resolution.

The doctor will explain what was found during your exam and take the time necessary for you to understand why you are feeling the way you do. Then, an explanation of what treatments are needed and what they do will be offered.

Insurance Coverage and Payment Plans

The office manager will meet with you briefly for an explanation of any insurance coverage or payment plans available. If you agree to the service and the fees, you are then treated.

After your treatment you check out at the front desk where you are given a calendar with your schedule and any supplements that have been recommended. If you need exercises or any other instructions for doing things at home, they are given at that time. Your second visit in our office is then complete.

Depending on the number of questions you have, in general:

Chiropractic reports take 30 minutes.

Nutrition reports take about 45 minutes.

Regular Visits

A typical office visit can include any or all of the following services:

  • Massage Therapy is either one half or a full hour.
  • Laser Therapy is 5-10 minutes.
  • Nutrition is 10-20 minutes, an additional 30 minutes for a re-exam.
  • A Chiropractic visit is 10 minutes, with an additional 10 minutes for either flexion-distraction or mechanical traction.
  • Vibration Training or other fitness training for most people can be accomplished in 20 minutes

At a regular visit you are greeted by name and asked to sign in. Patients who arrive a little early take a seat in the waiting room where an educational video is played throughout the day.

Massage Therapy

If you are here strictly for massage therapy, the Massage Therapist who is treating you will come and escort you to a massage therapy room. You are given instructions as to preparation for the massage and left to get ready. Each room has a call button that you use to signal when you are ready. The Massage Therapist will give you a couple more minutes to get on the table and then knock for permission to enter. The massage is done and the Massage Therapist leaves so that you can get dressed and go up to the front desk. Any recommendations are noted in the file and the Massage Therapist gives the file to the front desk staff for collection and future scheduling. You will go to the check out desk, pay for your services and receive a schedule for your next visit.

Chiropractic and all other services

For all other visits, the front desk staff will escort you to a treatment room, let you know where to be seated and sets out the appropriate forms. Your file is then put facing the wall in the file holder outside the door of the room. The provider knows which room to go to next by colored flag system.

Once your treatment is done, the next recommendations are sent to the front desk either by file or via the computer. You will stop at the checkout desk, make any payment necessary and given a copy of your schedule, and any recommended nutritional supplements or exercises that are needed. If you are to go to another service, the front desk staff will escort you to the next treatment room.

Checkout Desk

When all services are provided please stop at the checkout desk to make payment for the treatments received that day. You will receive a copy of your schedule or you may make your next appointment. You will also receive any nutritional supplements recommended or refills, if needed, and a copy of any exercises or home therapies needed. We will bill insurances, so for those that have insurance we collect the co-pay.

That concludes your visit.
